Prayers and Scripture

Prayers for hope

When the future feels uncertain, hope can be hard to hold onto. The hope God offers is not wishful thinking, but a steady trust in his faithfulness.

Read these verses when you need to remember that your story is not finished. There is more ahead than you can see.

A prayer for hope

God of hope, my outlook has grown small, and I need you to lift my eyes. I have been looking at my circumstances for so long that I have nearly forgotten to look at you. Fill me with joy and peace as I trust in you, so that I might overflow with hope again. Remind me that the plans you have for me are for good, to give me a future. When the present feels heavy, anchor me in the truth that you are faithful and that you do not abandon what you have begun. Help me to wait with patience instead of despair, and to expect your goodness even before I see it. You are my hope, all the day long. Renew my heart, steady my faith, and let me carry your light into tomorrow. Amen.
