The Prayer Request is a place for believers to share prayer requests and pray for one another. We collect as little as we can to make that possible, and we never sell your information. This policy explains what we gather and why.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your name, email address, and profile photo if you provide one.
- What you share. Prayer requests, comments, group names, and reactions you post. Requests you mark as anonymous hide your name from other people, but they are still tied to your account on our side so you can manage them.
- Basic usage data. If analytics is enabled, we collect anonymized information about how the site is used so we can improve it.
How we use it
- To show your requests to the community and let others pray for them.
- To send you notifications you have opted into, such as when someone prays for your request. You can turn these off anytime in your profile.
- To keep the community safe by reviewing reported content.
Please share thoughtfully
The prayer wall is public. Anyone on the internet can read what is posted there, and shared links may be cached or indexed by others even after you delete a post. Please do not include details you would not want seen publicly, such as full names of others, addresses, or financial information.
Who we share with
We use a small set of trusted services to run the site: Clerk for sign-in, Google Firebase for storage, Resend for email, and Vercel for hosting. We share only what each service needs to do its job. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your prayer requests at any time from your profile.
- Turn email notifications on or off in your profile settings.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing us.
Children
The Prayer Request is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
