Prayers and Scripture
Prayers for healing
Whether you are praying for your own body or for someone you love, waiting on healing can be tender and tiring. God meets us in that waiting with both compassion and power.
Bring your need honestly. These verses speak of a God who binds up wounds and restores what is broken.
A prayer for healing
Great Physician, you know every part of this body and every weary place in this heart. I come asking for healing, and I trust that you hear me. Where there is pain, bring relief. Where there is sickness, bring restoration. Where there is fear about the days ahead, bring your steadying peace. I thank you that you are the God who heals, and that no condition is beyond your reach. Give wisdom to those caring for the body, and patience to everyone who waits and hopes. If healing comes slowly, hold us close in the meantime and let us feel your nearness. Whatever the road looks like, help me to trust that you are good and that you are present. I place this need in your hands and rest in your care. Amen.

Exodus 15:26
You do not need the perfect words to bring healing to God. Pray the words above as they are, or let them be a starting point for your own. He hears the honest prayer, and he is near to everyone who calls on him. Return to this page whenever you need to, and pray as often as your heart needs.
