Fear has a way of growing louder in the quiet, especially when we face something unknown. It is a deeply human feeling, and God does not turn away from us when we are afraid.
These words are for the times you need courage you cannot find on your own. Let Scripture remind you who walks beside you.
A prayer for fear
Lord, fear has taken up more room in me than I want to admit. I am afraid of what might happen, of what I cannot control, and of facing it alone. Remind me that you have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. When my courage runs out, be my strength. When the path ahead is dark, be the light I trust one step at a time. Hold my right hand, as you promised, and help me to hear your voice above the noise of my worries. I do not have to be unshaken to be held by you. Walk with me into the things I am dreading, and let your nearness make me brave. I lay my fear down before you now, and I receive your peace in its place. Amen.
