Prayers and Scripture
Prayers for children
Loving a child means carrying hopes and worries you never knew you had. God loves your children even more than you do, and you can trust them to his care.
These verses are for parents and grandparents. Pray them over the young ones in your life.
A prayer for children
Father, I lift up the children you have placed in my life, and I thank you that they are a heritage from you. Watch over them in the places I cannot go and the moments I cannot see. Guard their bodies, their hearts, and their minds. Help me to train them in the way they should go, and to teach them about you not only with my words but with my life. Give me patience when I am tired, wisdom when I do not know what to do, and grace for the days I get it wrong. As they grow, let their faith become their own, and surround them with people who point them to you. Whatever comes, may they know they are loved by you and by me. I entrust them to your care, knowing you hold them more securely than I ever could. Bless them, and let them be taught by you and have great peace. Amen.
